She has been awarded the "Parenting Educator Credential" from the New York State Parenting Education Partnership and serves on the NYSPEP steering committee.  Meg's expertise includes more than 20 years of firsthand experience as a parent of four and lifelong student of child behavior and development.

Meg's parenting philosophy is driven by the belief that how we parent matters and that we can all be better parents by working at it step by step in an intentional way.  It is this viewpoint that inspired her to write 52 Weeks of Parenting Wisdom: Effective Strategies for Raising Happy, Responsible Kids.  Rather than overwhelming parents with psychological studies and theories, the book purposely features relatable scenarios and easy to implement tips.  Intended for busy parents, it is meant to be read one chapter per week for just a few minutes at a time, with each chapter providing a salient piece of advice on one specific topic of concern to parents, such as respect, self-control, cooperation, sibling relations, and sleep habits. Unlike other parenting books, it mercifully lets parents concentrate on making a single change that is attainable and effective without being overwhelmed and distracted by too much information.

Meg holds an MBA from Columbia University Business School, a bachelor and master's from Manhattan School of Music and is the recipient of the New York State Parenting Education Partnership's "Parenting Educator Credential," which recognizes her knowledge, skills, training and experience as a parenting educator.  She is a certified group fitness instructor and has taught music and dance to young children for many years.  Through her Parenting Solutions newsletter and iphone ParentSmart app, she regularly shares her tips with a large audience. Meg lives with her husband Seth in Manhattan, where they have raised their four children.
